Ingredients 
French beans about 250 grams
Potato 2 medium
Oil 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Asafoetida 2-3 pinch
Turmeric ½ tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Red chili powder ½ tsp
Coriander powder 1½ tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Mango powder ½ tsp
A little garam masala
Method :
In the photo below, French beans are shown which are quite different from Indian beans or Gawar pods.

Remove the edges of the French beans, if there is any thread in it, then remove them too. Now wash the beans thoroughly and wipe the water with a clean cloth.
Now cut the French beans into half inch pieces.
Chopped french beans
Peel off the potatoes, wash them and cut them into about half inch pieces.
Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Now add cumin seeds and fry for a few seconds and then add asafoetida.
Reduce the heat and add turmeric and then add chopped French beans and potato pieces. Mix all the ingredients well and fry it for two minutes. Now add salt, red chilli and coriander powder, and fry the vegetable again for a minute. Now turn down the heat.
Now cover the lid and cook the vegetables till the beans and potatoes are cooked. It takes about 10-12 minutes for the vegetable to melt.
When the vegetable melts, add mango powder and a little garam masala to it and fry the vegetable for two minutes. Now turn off the heat.
Delicious and nutritious french beans potato vegetable is now ready. You can serve this vegetable with roti, puri, paratha or even dal rice. By the way, bean potato vegetable also looks very tasty with rice.
Some tips / suggestions:
When you buy French beans, keep in mind that it is thin. The thin and green beans are raw and it melts easily and looks more delicious.
Green vegetables should not be cooked much. By over-cooking, their green color goes away and the taste of the vegetable also disappears.
You can also add green peas to this vegetable.
