1 cup kidney beans
1 bay leaf
1 inch cinnamon stick
1 small cardamom
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 finely chopped onion
1 green chili chopped
2 chopped tomatoes
1 teaspoon garlic ginger paste
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon Coriander Cumin Powder
2 tablespoons cream
2 tablespoons oil
Salt to taste
Step 1
Wash the Rajma and soak it in enough water for 8 hours or overnight. The next morning, separate the water from the rajma and add water and a pinch of salt to it and cook it on medium flame for 4 whistles and let the flame open on its own. Now take out the cooked rajma in a vessel and keep it covered.
Step 2
Heat 2 spoons of oil in a pan, then add bay leaf, a piece of cinnamon, small cardamom and cumin, and roast it till the cumin seeds crackle. Now add chopped onion and fry it while stirring it till it turns golden brown in color. When onion fry well, add garlic ginger paste to it and roast it continuously for 15 seconds.
Step 3
Now put chopped tomatoes in the pan and cook it for 3 to 4 minutes till it dissolves completely. Add a little water if you feel the need. Now add 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder, 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder, stir it and mix.
Step 4
After frying the spices, add the cooked rajma to it and mix well after stirring for 2 minutes. Now add water as per your choice of gravy and mix it well. Mash the rajma slightly with a spoon so that the gravy tastes good. Cook it on low heat for 6 minutes. Now finally garnish it with 2 tablespoons fresh cream. Take friends, our Rajma's delicious dish.
